Financing Your Home

Working with an experienced and knowledgeable mortgage lender is extremely important in the home buying process. Selecting a loan officer that you can sit down with to explain your unique needs and desires will reduce stress and make for a smooth transaction.

1. Get Prequalified

The first step toward obtaining a mortgage loan is as easy as submitting a quick online application. Once received, your information will be reviewed in an effort to provide you with your best loan option(s).

2. Go Home Shopping

Using a REALTOR® who has a solid understanding of the local real estate market is crucial. Choose a CENTURY 21 Burkett & Associaties REALTOR® with whom to tour homes, write a competitive offer and leverage your pre-approval to get you to a successful closing.

3. Apply for the Loan and Collaborate during Processing

Assuming you’ve already completed the prequalification process, your loan officer will update and submit your official loan application. You may need to submit additional documents or meet additional criteria during this stage.

4. Prepare for Closing

Your CENTURY 21 Burkett & Associates agent will collaborate with you and your lender to ensure that your closing process is seamless. From underwriting to appraisals, we’ll get you to the closing table on time.

5. Officially Homeowners

Congratulations, you’ve made it to closing! Once documents have been signed, your loan has been funded and the deed has been recorded with the county, your real estate will deliver keys and you can begin making memories in your new home!
